TERMINOLOGICAL APPARATUS OF THE MODULAR FORMAT OF REGIONAL LOGISTICS SYSTEMS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
This paper examines the authors' modern theoretical and methodological approaches to the development of integrated processes for the formation of various infrastructures and the interaction of supply chains. Widely known and frequently cited are transport, energy, telecommunications, logistics, financial, and social infrastructures. Each has its own unique structure. Thus, transport infrastructure is subdivided into rail, road, pipeline, maritime, river, and aviation. Logistics utilizes distribution, information, financial, and passenger transportation infrastructures in its practical activities. Industry-specific infrastructures utilize specialized modes of transport, processing facilities, and infrastructure for the storage and distribution of their products. In Siberian regions, the most developed industries include oil and gas, forestry, metallurgy, agriculture, and energy, and, accordingly, the development of related infrastructures has been greatly enhanced. International communications unite national infrastructures into an international network, which is becoming increasingly integrated. This network is constrained by the existing borders of countries and regions, but is capable of flexibly responding to various challenges, changing the direction, composition, and structure of commodity flows. Based on the established physical infrastructure, the need arises for a scientific approach to the effective management of material, information, and financial flows in multi-level international, federal, and regional systems. The scientific community envisions the emergence of a new economic paradigm based on supply chain management, utilizing the existing complex of various infrastructures to most effectively manage material flows, exploiting information capabilities and financial constraints. The most interesting approaches, noted by various authors, include logistics ecosystems, logistics clusters, and functional domains with variable architecture. These concepts are studied by various academic schools and examined from the perspective of effective supply chain management. This paper summarizes the terminology of the logistics framework and, in particular, substantiates a new integrated logistics structure – a regional logistics module – which develops existing scientific approaches, complements them, and assumes the formation of a synergetic collaboration of infrastructures and supply chains in the region.
